Arlington offers the closest hotels to the stadium at moderate prices. Downtown Dallas and the Design District are trendier but 30 minutes away. Fort Worth's Stockyards district is a unique Texas experience. Hotel prices are reasonable compared to coastal cities.
Texas BBQ is non-negotiable — try Pecan Lodge or Terry Black's. Tex-Mex is a way of life here. The Bishop Arts District has amazing local restaurants. Dallas's Korean and Vietnamese food scenes are underrated gems. Portions are enormous everywhere.
Fan zones expected around AT&T Stadium plaza and downtown Dallas. Deep Ellum is the nightlife district with bars and live music. FC Dallas fans will bring strong MLS culture. The Texas Live! entertainment complex is right next to the stadium.
Dallas is safe in tourist areas and near the stadium. Texas heat in June-July is extreme (100°F+) — bring sunscreen, hats, and water. The stadium has A/C when the roof is closed. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
AT&T Stadium doesn't allow bags larger than a small clutch — plan accordingly. Texas hospitality is real; people are genuinely friendly. The Stockyards in Fort Worth are worth a day trip. Uber/Lyft surge pricing will be intense on match days near Arlington.
